Just a short walk from the gate, this place serves some really good fish and chips. I wasn't able to try the beer because of a work event, but the atmosphere was nice. There are plenty of screens to catch the football games.

I was stationed at RAF Mildenhall from 1981 to 1984, and I have fond memories of the Bird In Hand. I remember some sort of risqué poem or limerick related to the name that added to the charm of the place.
