We had reservations and were seated within 2 minutes of arriving. Our server was friendly and took our orders promptly. We started with the steak tartare, which was underwhelming. The fried capers didn't have enough salt and the quail egg got lost in the steak. The presentation didn't match what we saw on Instagram. For my main course, I had the grilled pork chop, which was dry and difficult to cut. The bacon, onion, creamy mustard sauce, and apple fennel salad that accompanied it helped make it more palatable. Overall, I wish I had ordered something else. The restaurant had a high energy atmosphere with noise expected.
I went to get brunch, but it was full. So we had to wait to be seated. We got our name on the list and the hostess said around 20 minutes wait. We waited for 30 minutes. She kept sitting people that got way after us. It was 30 minutes that we were eating to be seat. And I came up to her and ask her are we next?? And she was like I don’t have a table. So you have to wait 20 minutes more.. so we left.. to be seat we supposed to wait almost and hour.. and she keep seating people but not us..
The bistro remains one of the best restaurants in JH for food quality.. service not so much. The Russian bartender who served me lunch today was as cold and unfriendly as you can get. Not to mention the ‘house glass’ of Pinot noir at 28$! I understand the bistro is now located in one of the more upscale hotels in Jackson, the Cloudveil, but once upon a time it was local friendly. Now it just mirrors what Jackson hole has becomea corporate, greedy shell of a once great American ski town.
The food and service at The Bistro are always top-notch. They have a reliable menu and a nice bar area. Conveniently located near the town square in Jackson, it's a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. Even after living in Jackson for 17 years, The Bistro remains a favorite for our family when we come back to visit. I highly recommend adding The Bistro to your list of restaurants to try in Jackson - you won't be disappointed.

I have dined at this restaurant twice in the past week. The staff is friendly and incredibly accommodating. The food is always prepared perfectly. I dined in for dinner both times and the price per person was between $30-50. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere a perfect 5 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the French Onion Soup, it is delicious.
From the moment you walk in, everything's amazing the smell, the style, the service... everything! The food was great...I got an omlet and my wife got a GF grilled cheese with avocado and bacon.
