An easy ten-minute drive from Baddeck brought us to this beautiful, tucked-away site. A collection of rustic buildings sets the tone. The dining room is cozy and simple, combining elements of Scandi-Zen-Canadian. The food is an absolute delight. Each of the ten courses is incredibly thoughtful, creative and beautifully presented. The wide range of ingredients works together surprisingly well. Highlights include cider cured scallops, grilled bread with buttermilk butter (simple but fantastic)!, and sesame ice cream on a barley cake with blackberries. But all of it was superb. Service was quietly excellent. Exceptional value for a uniquely unforgettable experience.

There are many jewels in Cape Breton but you don't usually put fine dinning on the top of that list. Our group came here for a tasting menu and it was a magical experience. (and the wine was fantastic) I almost hate to write this review because the place should be kept secret. I am because I am so glad they are extending their season and want them to be enticed to stay here year round :)

We are here for the Celtic Colours Music Festival (after a 10 year hiatus) and while checking out Trip Advisor for restaurants, we came across the Bite House. We tried to get reservations 9 weeks in advance, but alas they only seat 17 and they were full. We asked to be put on a wait list, just in case there was a cancellation. To our delight, Bryan Picard (owner

The food here is gorgeous as well as delicious! My wife and i went in 2016 and have tried to book again for 2017 but are on a wait list. This place is a little gem and worth the wait. Food is serve in small courses with explanations from the server. Quaint seating with a mountain view is relaxing. A must if you can get a reservation!. Reserva una mesa ahora

Tonight, six of us ate at the Bite House. It is off the beaten track, but not hard to find. As usual, like every meal we have enjoyed there, the food was fabulous! The word unique just doesn't do it justice. The food is served in small portions but many courses. It is seasonal, locally sourced, organic

Nothing that the chef Brian makes is a disappointment. With a menu that changes with the seasons, Brian is able to use local produce to create spectacular meals. Prepare to book far in advance because this place is always full
