The Black Dog Family Restaurant

My wife and I decided to strop at the Black Dog on Sunday, August 6th for a beer and sandwich break. What a smart decision. Our server, Alana, was bright-eyed, very pleasant and attentive to our needs right from the start. Mt wife'[s order of a Chicken Twist was exceptional. My Reuben was piled high with first-rate smoked meat, had a very generous amount of sauerkraut and was served on a toasted light rye bread. Both of our sandwiches arrived accompanied by generous portions of fries, obviously fresh cut on the premises.My choice of draft beer - Sleeman's - was served nice and cold and was surprisingly cheap in price.All in all - if you're anywhere near Stirling, try the Black Dog - their me...

the service was under alot of presume that night as all parties arrived at the same time. there is a theater in town and pretty much all the reservations were at the same time for that event.that being said the food did arrive hot and very tasty. the staff were very pleasant and all orders were correct. we were 14 in our group table.looking forward to going back on a not so busy occasion

I've eaten at this restaurant a few times - convenience more than a desire. Menu is very mundane - no specialties or must have meals. The place inside is a bit of a barn and has absolutely no character. Great small town location and with some effort this place could be a destination restaurant for the many tourists who visit the area.

We waited so long for our Fish & Chip's to arrive. I was thinking we should just pay for our drinks and leave. Then when the food arrived, I didn't like the fish. So I asked the Waitress what the fish was, and was told Basa fish. That is one of the cheapest fish you could buy. It really tasted like that.

We have been to the Black Dog a few times - the staff are all warm and inviting. The restaurant is a good size. Food is good, portions are good. The prices are good as well. Great bar atmosphere to have a pint after work.

Great staff, good food, large portions. The wine is served in large glasses, and not at half the glass. Good prices for wine and beer. Not a huge selection on the menu, but it's all good, Great place for group dinners.

Sorry I was expecting so much more from this restaurant. Food was just ok and ok in a pinch. No activities I was expecting darts, pool tables but it was virtually empty.

it was a good dinner for the prices and our waitress for very friendly but do not expect a quick dinner there was a bit of a wait but was worth it when the food came

We always have a great time here the staff are great they treat you like family and the food is great as well you have to come and check it out
