We once met a fantastic couple here, one of whom owns a prestigious shop in Yorkshire. We ended up sharing hours of laughter, enjoying some incredible wine (which they agreed was fantastic), and practicing our Italian since the shop owner shares our passion for Italy. Whether I've dropped by for a quiet candlelit drink, enjoyed a conversation with the warm and eccentric Paul, or connected with other fantastic people, I've always cherished and relished every experience here. Lovely, quirky venue which must be one of the best kept secrets in town! Situated in the market vaults (enter at the rear of the building), it has a lovely atmosphere, friendly owner and great wine. And the cheese platter is lovely too! Perfect for a romantic evening or a good catch up with friends no music so you can chat to your hearts content and actually hear each other! Definitely worth a visit!

This wine cellar is a truly unique and quirky spot, located underground in the Market Vaults. They offer a delightful selection of wines by the glass or bottle, all within a relaxing and friendly atmosphere. I've been there several times and can definitely recommend it as a great place to unwind with friends. Be sure to try the cheese platter—it pairs perfectly with a bottle of Merlot.
