The Blacksmiths Arms

We used to eat here many years ago and the food was always excellent. Having returned now my parents live near by hasn’t disappointed. Sunday lunch is one of the best we’ve had, and we like to think we’ve tried some of the very best home-cooked from scratch, non-carvery SL that Yorkshire has to offer. Such a generous portion of meat, beef pink and tender. Giant Yorkshire, well cooked veg, goose fat potatoes. Gravy is Devine. Such great value for money when you compare this to the likes of an-overrated, pre-prepped meal you get for the same price at a large chain. Staying at a campsite down the road, called in on the off chance with our two dogs in tow on a Saturday evening, the landlord made us extremely welcome. I had the Chorizo and roasted garlic chicken Kiev, the wife had the fish and chips. Both meals were excellent, so much so that we booked for Sunday lunch. Again neither of us were disappointed and should we pass this way again we‘ll make a point of calling in again

Been here a few times in the very past when under previous owners and was average to okay then. But went today for Sunday lunch and the food was pretty much excellent. Staff and bar tender very polite. Good choice menu, plenty on the plate and a great value and atmosphere. Definitely would recommend and looking forward to going back soon. Well worth the drive out to this lovely pub with nice craft ales.

Very disappointed Called in on the off-chance for a coffee today to be told by a lady we don't do coffee landlord was sat in other room before had chance to say any thing else she turned round and walked off So checked online quit clearly says serves coffee won't be visiting again Not very welcoming at all Reserva una mesa ahora

We stayed here with our campervan on the carpark and we're blown away by the quality of the food. This is a little gem hidden in a hamlet, but it should have at least one Michelin star. Quiet ambiance, pleasant waiter. Worth every penny.

Fabulous Sunday lunch!! Would highly recommend, excellent food, crispy roasts, gorgeous Yorkshire pudding and loads of lovely tender meat. Highly recommend.

Shut when they feel like it. Turned all the lights off and left us sat in the dark with drinks at 9pm on a Thursday evening. Made us feel very unwelcome. Reserva una mesa ahora

service and food very high end. such great food, great choice’s and value for money. our dogs were very welcomed. can’t wait to return.

The food we had was fantastic, the service was great. We are returning on NYE. I would recommend the food here.
