Gorgeous place, amazing food, reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend! We dined as a group of 9. Wait times were very reasonable and the food came together for the most part. I had 3 courses, 2 off the specials menu (starter: garlic butter with warm bread dough balls and main: spring onion buttered chicken with homemade fries and peas) with a brownie and ice cream for dessert, and 3 bottles of coors. Vegetarian options: There were limited options which included starters and mains. For starters I had dough balls with garlic butter. Also available was soup or mushrooms on toast. I went to this restaurant for Sunday lunch. The staff was polite and the portions of vegetables and Yorkshire pudding were generous. They were served on stylish rectangular plates. Unfortunately, the carved beef was gristly, but this was mentioned politely to the staff. There were various desserts to choose from and plenty of drinks available. The restaurant also has a beer garden/dining area in an enclosed courtyard at the rear. For vegetarians, they offer a Sunday dinner without the meat (with vegetable gravy) at a cheaper rate. The service was good.
Found this gem while searching. Fantastic pub roast and a nice find. Was board of sane old comercial chain roasts and wanted a good old pub one. And could not fault it. Just to much veg. Kids menu also good. 8 yr old had kids roast. 4 year old chose good old chicken coujons me expecting a few frozen no problem he loves them mash and gravy. Well how wrong 3 home made goujons and way to big for him he managed 1 of them and we had to try eat other 2.
This restaurant is absolutely amazing. We came here to celebrate my son's 18th birthday with the whole family. The food was perfect, the atmosphere was lovely, and the staff was brilliant. We will definitely be returning. We had dinner here and the price per person was between £10-20. The food, service, and atmosphere all scored a perfect 5. Took my family here for Sunday lunch and it was everybodies opinion that it was the best Sunday lunch we have ever had out. The gravy is to die for and the meat was really tender, all the vegetables were faultless. Must mention the Staff friendly and nothing too much trouble for them. Will definitely be lunching there again when the family visits. Service: Dine in
10 of us had Sunday lunch, all had mains of either turkey or beef or half and half. Served with roast potatoes, parsnips, carrots, new potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and stuffing, mashed potatoes, peas and cabbage plus lovely gravy and various sauces such as horseradish, mint, cranberry etc. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
