we had booked at the arrival we were shown at our table, we had to ask for drinks. we had to wait for our orders to be taken, and eating was very slow at the arrival. when it came, it was... nicely presented and very tasty, but unfortunately we were not able to enjoy the food because it was only lukewarm, we mentioned this on the waitress, and she offered to have reheated it, we refused as reheated eating is not good. desserts were acceptable as asked if eating was good, we said again the waitress that it was corrupted because it wasn't enough, we were rewarded with a shrug and bill after we checked the bill we did for a drink we didn't have, this was sorted quickly. we felt that the administration should have apologised if people were informed about the meal.
we are a group of three couples who choose monthly a pub or a restaurant for lunch or dinner together. since our last visit, the menu has changed substantially and we do not think better. the food served duck breast,. salmon and pork fillet were all cold. we told the waitress twice, but apart from that, I will tell the cook that no action was taken. we also waited for an hour before eating. in price, cold and long wait. not good enough. it will take a long time to find ourselves sad. we were also overloaded for a drink we had not. this was refunded after we paid the bill. it was an error, instead of intentional
A Very nice village pub with plenty of nooks and crannies for seating and open fire. A large gathering to celebrate the life of a recently passed friend was well catered for with plenty of staff on hand to keep service moving. Buffet was large...and quality of food was high. With plenty of on site parking and dog friendly. Hope to return again under happier circumstances.
Lovely Food, Lovely People, nothing was too much trouble and the Roast Pork We had was delicious with all the trimmings. We are going back twice in December one time with friends and we are already looking forward to it. We have moved up from...Kent and tried different places in the months we have been here and this is definitely one of our Favourites.
