The Blue Lion - Reserva de mesa

I hadn't visited this place since before the pandemic because of past issues, but wow, what a transformation! The staff is wonderful, offering table service and quick service. The ambiance is enhanced by nice music and cozy heaters. It has really shifted from being a hangout for people using drugs to a great spot for friends and family to enjoy a beer. The only downside is that it closes at 10 PM, but I hope they extend their hours in the future. The price per person is around £20–30.

I visit this pub almost every day after my night shift, grabbing a drink while I wait for my taxi. The staff are always welcoming, allowing me to sit and relax even if I haven't ordered anything. I've also come here numerous times with my mom and friends, and it's a fantastic place! The food is amazing, and the staff, along with the regular customers, create a great atmosphere. I highly recommend this pub for family gatherings or just a casual evening out for drinks. Cheers!

Beautiful setting in Great Baddow, especially in the beer garden. Serving staff were endlessly patient and helpful, thank you. Sunday roast beef was delicious but was slightly over cooked and Yorkshire pud and potatoes could have been a bit crispier. Over all very nice meals had all round. Would definitely visit again. Kid-friendliness: Accommodating to children. Parking: Five or six spots for parking but plenty at nearby shops. Price per person: £20–30

Much much much better than the previous clientele or bar staff... Went for 3 meals and a few drinks... Dinner was a bit of a let down (hence 2 stars down) Mixed grill at £18 was £5 overpriced... 1 sausage, 1 small bit of steak, streaky bacon slice and the smallest bit of lamb. Chips were good though!! Will look to try out the £29 bottomless brunch one coming weekend... If food continues this way, will use as a local drinking hole only. Service: 5 Reserva una mesa ahora
