The food is tasty but their prices are not okay. It is $20/person and it’s all you can eat but most people can only eat 1 serving. You will also be very full of bread as that is what you are expected to eat with. This is not an issue as it is authentic to how the food is eaten, but for the price it is an issue. Everyone at the table is required to share off the same platter. The food consists of lentils, beans and greens. Again it tastes good but for $20/person it is not worth it. If you have 4 people, they are collecting $80 for beans and lentils. All meat is extra and is $12 for a very small portion. Pops are $4. If you are looking for an authentic experience then maybe the pricing is not...
My friends, my family and I have been enjoying the delicious food The Blue Nile for over 15 years and the food and the atmosphere and the owners are always amazing and welcoming. I never had a bad experience. The owners are man and woman and they love to talk about Ethiopia and the whole beauty and culture of their home. The restaurant is filled with the music, the scent of delicious food and the colours of Ethiopia. You feel like you're actually here.
This was the first time here and I will definitely come back. You have a hand wash station right at the front door and gave hot steamed towels before your meal. I felt security was important to the owners. This is important because the meal is to be eaten with the hands. The lamb was tender and delicious. The other member of our table was vegetarian and he enjoyed the selection of veggies. The waiting staff was friendly and attentive.
This place is absolutely incredible!!! It’s one of my favorite restaurants not only just in the area— but the whole world ? I crave the food and would eat it everyday if I could. The service is on point and everyone has the brightest smile on their face. They even have a shop with amazing authentic clothes and jewelry. The atmosphere is beautiful, so if you haven’t been here yet— you for sure need to!
Stop reading reviews, and just go! The food is phenomenal, the atmosphere gorgeous, and staff is perfect. I had it one night, and had to come back two days later because I couldn't stop thinking about the food. Great value as well! Vegetarian options: Ethiopian feast is all vegan; any meat is a la carte add ons.
