The Boathouse Tea Room is situated where the Eramosa River and the Speed River connect. It’s a place to connect to ice cream while visiting Guelph. It’s restored from a century-old boathouse associated with Guelph’s river systems. The pink shop operates as both a popular tea room an ice cream parlour. They are quite generous with the tasty selection of Shaw’s ice cream flavours. The cones are better than the ice cream cookies with dough that was hardened by chill time. We sat and waited 10 minutes. There were 5 or 6 servers but they were mostly standing around talking. I finally walked to the counter and asked if I had to order there or if someone was going to come to the table. A girl apologized and immediately came over. We ordered. She brought our food and drinks and never came back to refill the teapot or ask how everything was. I took our teapot to the counter and asked another girl to fill it. The table cloths were dirty on several tables. The almond milk was curdled. The food was good. There were plenty of servers but they were not attentive to customer service. The prices on the website need to be updated to reflect the menu prices.

We love the Boathouse!! The breakfast options are very affordable, and it was such a cute place to escape from campus!! Service is fast, food is yummy, and everything is served in such a beautiful way. Their specialty tea is amazing and definitely worth a try if you're a black-tea lover!

Had a waitress, I think her name was Rachel ? . She was very kind and attentive. She even brought us over extra napkins and the carrot cake was garnished so nicely! She laughed at my husbands jokes. I don’t know what I like more, the service or the delicious food! Reserva una mesa ahora

Thank you for carrying vegan ice cream! We are (mostly) vegan and now our family can go out and enjoy ice cream, and our young daughter doesn't have to miss out. It means so much thank you!

We had a really nice time here, and the ice cream was very good. Sitting by the river was relaxing. I suggest visiting for those who just want a quiet ice cream by the river.

Reasonable prices, great location, AMAZING ice cream, and renting kayaks for the afternoon is pretty much the perfect nature escape <3
