We have been many times before and as my youngest son later commented this was by far the worst experience we have had here. We were a party of 7 celebrating my wife's birthday (later grudgingly acknowledged with a complimentary glass of wine . In no particular order rude, unsmiling, disinterested waitress (the manageress said she was one of their top performers! . Indifferent food quality £31.50 for a shared mixed hanging kebab with cold prawns (we didn't risk sending them back to be re heated, or worse.... and bullet like lamb koftas. Been to this restaurant many times but not for a couple of years, have always enjoyed our food and the service was great. We had a birthday celebration on Saturday 09/03/24 and the young lady who served us had a very bad attitude, it was obvious that she didn’t want to be there which made us feel like we were putting her out. I didn’t get her name but if we asked for anything eg serviettes, cutlery she almost threw them at us. There were eight of us and we all felt that this attitude is unacceptable.
Great experience, lovely food, excellent service a very warm welcome, we were there because we had previously had a terrible experience in Knutsford. Where the manger had been exceptionally rude and the food awful in so many ways. HOWEVER Alderley Edge was completely different more than made up for the previous experience, special thanks to our server to Leane how arranged it for us.
Great cocktails, ice cold Guinness in the sun watching the other half go by. Hannah was superb and recommended 2 superb cocktails and the fabulous deep fried onion petals. Excellent experience

The Botanist is a small chain of restaurants and bars in the UK with 9 stores, many of which seem to be around the Manchester, Cheshire and North West areas

I'm a bit of a local to the Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Cheshire area, and I have to say upon my last visit to The Botanist I wasn't too impressed.
The worst **** Mary's I have ever drank which was so tasteless which cost 9.45. Never suggested we take the price off the saving on blanc
