Our friends recommended this restaurant to us, and we are so glad we made the trip for lunch today! The food was absolutely fantastic, and the dishes were thoughtfully crafted with a lot of attention to detail in the menu. We opted for the à la carte menu, and every dish was perfectly executed and delicious. I highly recommend the black cheek starter and the brains dish. My partner had the mackerel with root vegetables and a flavorful cream sauce, followed by the chicken. I was delighted to be invited to dine with family at the newly opened Bottle and Glass. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon, and many guests were enjoying bar snacks outside, but we opted for a table inside the newly renovated restaurant, which was also bright and inviting. The staff was friendly and attentive, despite being quite busy. Our lunch did not disappoint; the chef clearly uses top-quality ingredients. I chose a dish that was incredibly fresh, and the chocolate dessert was decadently delicious, melting in my mouth. Discovered this gastro pub by chance as we were having a Sunday walk in the woods next to the pub. Great variety of starters, mains and desserts. Beautiful food presentations and great flavours along with a good selection of wines, all at a reasonable cost. My new favourite pub in the Reading area.

Lovely lunch here at the weekend. The pub has been done up really nicely the old bar is cosy and characterful and the dining room is beautiful and airy. And the food was outstanding! Try the pork belly if they have it on the menu again! Can't wait to go back in the summer and enjoy the garden.

The two sides of this pub and restaurant and the garden offer the best of English. Excellent food and a proper and cosy pub with expansive garden and terrace for the good weather. The team and the menu do the location fitting justice.

The decor, service, food, and wine list are all outstanding. The prices are only slightly higher than what one might pay at a typical pub restaurant that claims to be upscale. I highly recommend this place.

The pub has recently had a refurb is light spacious, Staff are very attentive friendly, the food was amazing , well cooked , well presented very innovative menu ! We really enjoyed it defo go again
