The Boy The Bear Coffee Roastery

Out of all the coffee shops in the area, this one caught my attention because of the aesthetic and name. When I arrived I wasn't greeted or welcomed, but that was fine. Until I got my order taken by a pretty rude guy. The guy was not happy to answer my questions about the coffee and was in a rush to get my order. I like to try different coffee shops throughout LA and even make my own espresso at home. So I have many other experiences to compare this to. Customer experience? Needs some work. The coffee? My $6 hot mocha was not even filled to the top in spite of the cups already being quite small. If I'm ever in the area again I'm taking my business elsewhere.

coffee is balanced. nots of chocolate and a smooth finish. selection of gluten-free baked goods. roasting in front of place third wave coffee and open over bean scoring. the corner is busy, but the inner is a quiet oasis from the busy traffic. not a place to learn, but a great place to socialize with a friend.

Music was really loud, so couldn't hold a conversation at all. But was nice for just sitting back to relax or work. Bright and airy spot. Iced caramel latte was perfect for the warm early spring day.

Coffee was excellent. Would have loved a few more food options, but the savory croissant was very good.
