Friday night, overbooked and very noisy at 8.00pm. Neither a dining or drinking pub at the time. Asked to be moved from a very loud group, we were offered a table in the upstairs room, this had all the atmosphere of a old people’s home bright overhead lighting and a selection of misfits hiding from the real world. Food should have saved the evening however it was so salty it was virtually inedible. Made our feelings known as we paid the bill no apology or offer on the bill. Sorry not a good experienced the bridge needs sort itself out or it may just become another Scandinavia crime drama
Luckily we booked a table as the Thursday evening we went was fairly busy, but this did not detract from the efficient service. Staff friendly and attentive. We happened to book on grill night where you get 2 main meals and a bottle of wine for £30. We added a fantastic starter of mushrooms in a rich cream sauce. The main steaks were perfectly cooked and generous portion sizes of chips and trimmings. Nice atmosphere with a mux of ages. Dog friendly.
they roar their own ales on the ground and it is really goid witness that blondes especially. pleasant service, garden seat with magnificent view over the Holme valley.
Didn't really know what to give The Bridge and in fairness I was only in for 2 pints, but it was a good experience, no better or worse than my 2 pints in

this pub has been closed since juli 2013. looks as if the building has new property, but not 100% that it will open as pub.
The Bridge is a nice, no-frills boozer with a mish-mash of furniture and decor to give it a quirky edge.
Superb food, great selection of beers, very busy saturday night hence service slightly let down
fabulous decoration and great staff. beautiful atmosphere and fantastic view. good food too.

brilliant pub foods warmly recommend the fish finger sandwich. they also brew their own beer
