The British Hotel Port Adelaide

We are visiting in Adelaide and I googled where would be a good place to eat with young kids. We found the British Hotel and saw that it had a kids play space so we thought we would make the 25min drive from where we...were staying. It was so worth it! We were seated right next to the kids play space which kept our toddler entertained the whole time. There was ample room for bub in the pram and we could even lay him out on his rug in the play space while we ate. Our waitress/bartender Robyn could not do enough to make our meal enjoyable. We hadn't been to the British for quite about a year as the last time we came the food and service was terrible. We were glad we gave it another go. The menu had a great variety we tried the barramundi, the fragrant curry and the sirloin . Perfectly cooked, the rissotto and sauce with the Barra were superb. Best Steak ive tried in a while. The curry was gorgeous and suited my friend who is vegan and she was happy that there was variety of vegan dishes. The atmosphere was missing no music and service was a little laxed as our plates sat finished in front of us for at least half an hour. Will definitely come back though the food won us over ....

Wow! We were pleasantly very surprised at how nice this hotel is. Many years ago I had been here and it was the opposite! The decor is really cool, nice artwork all over the walls. Staff were friendly. Food was average priced. We ordered the...seafood platter for two and it was tasty and filling. Very clean and modern. Great location with ample parking. Awesome musician playing next to where we ate, my husband was singing along to most of his songs.

had dinner with a friend here Friday night and eating was terrible! we had both salt and pepper scattering and at the time when I commented it was unusual? it had an Asian dipping sauce and boiled sweet potato chips and was dry so in demand waiter on tartaric acid that never came! service was black and to double it we were both sick in the night to get home.obvily eating Reserva una mesa ahora

eat not bad, but was just as good as a home cooked meal. it was the birthday of my father, and they simply brought us out the cake to serve us and not to sing happy birthday or something; without anything to light the candles with or fork or teller. the ordered garlic bread to begin that never came. quite disappointed

Haven't been there before, but was told by my brother it was good. And it was!! Delicious food, great customer service and they even put a candle on dessert for me. Made me very happy. Cocktails were really good too.

Tried the seafood platter for two and it was amazing. Nice atmosphere and good service made for an enjoyable evening. Id recommend giving the Port Adelaide British a go.

Very nice little pub. Meals are to a very good standard. However, the pub does seem to lack atmosphere. If you want a quiet pub meal with no pokies, this is your place. Reserva una mesa ahora

this pub has great food and good service. the hotel is located in the heart of port adelaide near the harbour, it is a very convenient place to meet and eat.

the food was delicious and the service was fast, ideal for a fast lunch. the chicken pack is particularly good and not too heavy. I'm back.
