The Bull at Rolvenden

We had travelled from Sandwich to meet friends from Eastbourne. The doors were not open at 11 as stated on line, but following a phone call they were opened at 11.30. There was a lovely warm living fire which we hogged while we enjoyed excellent coffee and catch up with our friends. The menu is excellent, the food brilliant, as was the service attentive without being intrusive. We'll be meeting more friends, from Uckfield, shortly and I think we'll be enjoying The Bull again.

Always a pleasure to lunch here. Haven't tried evening as it's not local for us at Sandwich, but it's more convenient than Tenterden to meet friends from Uckfield and Eastbourne. Staff very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Arrive early and enjoy coffee in armchairs around the blazing wood burner while perusing the excellent menu. Just wish we had more friends!

I hadn't eaten here yet, just for drinks. but my son got me out for lunch. we enjoyed our food. the local wine was beautiful. the staff was very friendly and attentive. will definitely return and recommend to friends.

a friendly, warm welcome in this bar! we went as a group of 5 friends for a late lunch, had wonderful eating, great service and a beautiful greeting of molly the dog! I would definitely come back.

We were, and still are, confused about whether we had a table reserved for us. Apart from that it was exactly what we were looking for Good beer and good food at a reasonable price.

We had Sunday lunch here recently and it was perfect: good food with nice selection of vegetables, nice ambiance (quite animated but not too noisy), good beer, excellent service.

good service and friendly atmosphere, but the lunch menu was limited and one of the dishes was not available at the beginning of the service, which was a disappointment

Good place for a Sunday lunch. Food is well prepared and presented nicely, and service is friendly and efficient.

four friends for lunch. we've eaten here and never been kidnapped. good choices in the menu.
