The Bulrush Bistro

Nice restaurant and pleasant staff but a bit clueless regarding veganism. No non-dairy milk for tea/coffee and offered regular coleslaw. I did call ahead of visiting as there are sometimes difficulties but still encountered problems despite this. The food was nice and portion size was good otherwise. Dietary restrictions: Offered mayo with egg and milk despite stating that one of our party was vegan and the meal being listed as vegan. No non-dairy milk, apparently all used up .

This was the second time we have been here. Both times the wait was long, the food average and the lower area of the restaurant very warm. The waitresses were lovely which made the experience slightly better. There are a number of places in the area that provide a better overall experience. Lovely Sunday lunch with the most amazing roast potatoes ever! Children’s portions are also very generous. We all left with full tummies after our lunch. We will be back.

Sunday lunch. Excellent service. First class food. Not cheap but worth every penny. And to the reviewer who said there is no children's menu, get a new pair of specs.
