8/12/2022 stopped here for lunch and what a great choice! The restaurant area was closed but you picked from the food choices in the glass display case. I picked the smoked salmon salad, some fancy seltzer water, and a blueberry pastry! They brought out the salad and let me tell you it was so good!!! Fresh and delicious!! It has slices of red potatoes, onions, mixed greens, capers, smoked salmon, and dressing. The blueberry pastry was the BEST I’ve ever had! This place is a must stop if you’re in the area!! We visited The Burning Tree Restaurant for take out on a Sunday afternoon. We ordered the house made smoked salmon, the halibut salad and the green bean salad. This was all to go so you don't get to see what you pay for until you are gone and potentially far away or they are closed. Put green bean salad prices are $12 was the most messily minuscule item that I actually paid $12 for.... My husband and I finished it in 6 bites. We are talking green beans. If you go here, check your food before you leave to ensure the provided the amount shown in the display of the food you would be ordering. I ended up with less than a side salad. Sorry that I did not take a picture....

Have treated myself to the smoked salmon repeatedly this summer; just finished a serving purchased 5 days ago which was still excellent though kept only refrigerated in its wrapping and container. There's NONE ANYWHERE near as good ANYWHERE else. Thank-you, Elmer and crew

Cool local place that had fantastic food and wine tastings on Thursdays. It was a great place to wrap up our trip to Maine.
