We booked for a family meal as a surprise for my father in law. We were allocated exclusive use of the upstairs dining room which was so lovely as father in law's two brothers had travelled some distance to be there. The way the staff...had set out the tables in a U shape with chairs on outside was great as we could all talk to each other. Craig took us to the room as was extremely kind and courteous and friendly all afternoon. A great guy. Our main waitress was a superstar...Isla (blonde plaits) ...a credit to the Butt and Oyster...also Lorna...all staff were exemplary. And the food.....could not fault it! We pre ordered as large group and had choice of main menu plus roasts!! Fritto Misto...
Decided to enjoy lunch today adults, children, one of which is autistic struggles with waits. Service was spot on, we didn't wait long for anything. Food was absolutely delicious my partner is very fussy but its the first time we've...been out in ages he's said how incredible the food is My son wasn't so keen on one dish, they brought out a new dish for him super quick which he enjoyed. The Butt Oyster definitely impressed us today.
This was our first visit to the restaurant since the lockdown. We didn't have a reservation, but the staff were very helpful and managed to find us a table even though it was busy. We all ordered baguettes, which were large and delicious. We will definitely come back for a full meal in the future. The restaurant is located in a beautiful area with great walking paths. They are also very welcoming to dogs.
We had a delicious Christmas lunch at this restaurant on Christmas day. The atmosphere was great, and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. We couldn't ask for anything more. Thank you so much, we all thoroughly enjoyed it!

This restaurant has it all - delicious food and beer, reasonable prices, friendly staff, and a charming atmosphere in a beautifully decorated pub. The surroundings are also very appealing.
I sat outside the pub and a ordered roll with bacon and a fried egg plus tea. Both were delivered by friendly staff and were excellent. next visit we'll come for lunch!
