The Cal is an excellent pub that truly embodies a "give it a go" spirit. Every time we've visited, the service has been outstanding. The waitstaff and bartenders always strive to accommodate your needs. Friends who have stayed there have reported being very satisfied with their accommodations. I've had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. After recently undergoing gastric bypass surgery, I've appreciated how flexible the chef and staff have been with the menu, allowing me to order smaller meals, which has been a great relief since I can only eat very small portions. The food is always delicious and served promptly. I’m always happy to recommend this place!
I held my wedding reception at The Cal on April Fools' Day, and they truly made our day unforgettable. I couldn't have asked for better service; the meal was absolutely amazing, the room was beautiful, and the staff were fantastic. We also stayed in the rooms for the weekend, and I have no complaints whatsoever. Thank you all for making our special day so wonderful!
It was a pleasure too roll into a town you have not been too and order a meal that was excellent. The price was on the high side for pub tucker however the steak and snitzchel were restaurant quality.

Awesome value accommodation for that price range and great location. Friendly staff and a pub attached can't get any better really! Don't think about it, just book it!
Travelled up from Melbourne for the weekend stating at the cal. Fantastic meals for dinner. Gnocchi and pork belly sooo yummy. Best pub meal in ages. Great work guys
