The Candy Shack is a relatively new business in an old part of Mission, downtown.It is on " The Winels First Avenue Building",the newest building in downtown Mission, between Grand St and James St., on the North side of 1st Ave. Sean and Evonne, the owners, have done a fantastic job decorating their store with daring wall colours, antique signs -which are available for sale- and most importantly, providing their customers with delicious treats to please any taste. This is a place for higher quality candy, not the gas station type of bar.No matter what is the Candy of your preference, they will have it and if it is from another country they will bring it for you. Love this Candy store! always has the best flavours to choose from that you cant get at big chain stores. They offer a variety of choices of candies from different parts of the world. And the owner is super friendly, helpful, and knowledgable about his products! I always like to come and get some M&Ms from here, and the Coke Bottle Gummies are soon good! The other thing about this place...... THE ICE CREAM!!!! A MUST TRY! Flavours change weekly, but every time I've had some from here I've never been disappointed! A helpful tip, they appreciate you pay for the ice cream first before going to the back and ordering it. Especially during busy times! HOPE YOU ENJOY !!!!!!

Just walking down 1st Avenue and I happen to peak my head in for curiosity and it must have been the owner who enticed me inside. His passion for candies, wealth of information (learned things about candy I never knew), variety from around the world, the system he has of organizing the candies and the price...well I know exactly where I'm going when I need to my next candy fix. I've recommend this shop to several of my friends and this place if a hidden gem in Mission. Come here for your next candy coma where quality matters!

Importing some of the best childhood memories made of sugar and chocolate, the Candy Shack has something for everyone. The owner is super friendly and can be guaranteed to answer any questions you have. They also make goodie bags for kids parties that are amazing! The Bon Bons from overseas are a must try! The decor is funky, and tastefully done, and nobody leaves with out a smile!You have to stop by this place and see for yourself!

I ordered the fish taco combo but was disappointed to find that there was no fish on my taco. When I asked the clerk about it, he walked away without answering. I guess there was no fish after all.

This is a wonderful spot to purchase fresh seafood and enjoy a meal! They offer frozen seafood for sale, as well as hot drinks, cold beverages, fish and chips, and fish tacos.

How this took me back in time to when I was a little girl. I'd not seen so many of these candies in 50 years! It's hard to choose... I'll go back again when I've got time.

I stopped by to purchase a pair of crab cakes and they were delicious. I could taste and see big chunks of crab mixed with the potato binder.
