We decided to drop in on a whim and we were so glad we did. The weather was gloomy, but they had a roaring open fire to keep us warm. Two of us chose the Sunday roast with all the meats, one went for the homemade lamb curry, and the last dish was a steak with cowboy butter from the special board. Everyone agreed that the food was outstanding, although we couldn't finish all of it. We were served by Kev and Maisey, who were very welcoming and engaging in conversation. Overall, a lovely country pub with a 5-star service and amazing food. I will definitely be returning.
Had a very good home cooked meal, with friends, steak&kidney pudding was perfect, friends had curry, which was also very good,&fish and chips, very good menu with lots of options .staff were friendly and the service was good, this pub is under new management who have definately made big improvements to its cleanliness last time i was here about 5 years ago its was very grubby. Well done to new owners, its a lovely local once again.
Booked last min for a Sunday roast, it was lovely! We ordered a vegetarian option and the roast beef both were very generous in size. We both had a second course the brownie was amazing! The staff were so polite and helpful, our waitress was Maisie we have booked to come back in a few weeks with the whole family
I'm a celiac and they catered for me no fuss, service was great, Maisie explained everything and nothing was to much trouble. Will definitely be back.

Today at the Carpenter Arms, Maisie served me a fantastic seafood Thermidor lunch with drinks. The food was incredibly tasty. Thanks so much!
Lovely pub we both had steak it was honestly the best steak I've had, defiantly be back to try more on the menu the cider was spot on aswell

Tracy and Olivia provided excellent service for both of us tonight, and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening at a charming and cozy old pub.

I like the Montréal sirloin steak with triple cooked chips,roasted tomato creamy mushroom sauce a lot. It's really good
