The Carvery - Reservar una mesa

I had a nice excuse to go from Detroit to Canada to pick up some special Canadian Club Rye Whiskey for a friend, and for lunch checked TripAdvisor and found The Carvery. The positive review was accurate - the blackened fish sandwich was highlighted, that is what I had, and it was great. Not at all fancy but the food I had was great - and very reasonable considering the exchange rate that is currently favorable for Yanks.

This place is very good. Daily choices change, everything made on site. Had lentil soup which was delicious. Had braised beef sandwich which was excellent. A lot of people were ordering the fish sandwich and it was getting good reviews. Parking is a little tough, have to find a place on street.

When I'm in town I always go to Mike's place for lunch because you'll never get better food for such a great price! The sandwich combos are the best value in town and for the cost of a big mac combo you're getting a fresh sandwich, soup and salad. You can not beat this deal!

This afternoon was my 5th time to this lovely restaurant. Each time, my guests are amazed at the taste and quality. I have never been disappointed and always willing to try something different. You must experience this establishment for yourself. 5 STARS

Simple presentation - wooden tables and not many of them. But the food is great. The soup, salad and half sandwich for lunch can't be beat. Recommended for a solid lunch
