On April 6th, 2023, I walked into The Castle Arms Old Town at about 4:25 PM. I’d give it a rating of 3 out of 5 stars. The menu looks appealing, and the prices are fair. They serve local dishes, which definitely piqued my interest. I’m eager to explore more of what they have on offer.
Perched above Victoria Street, The Castle Arms Old Town is a charming little bar where you can enjoy hearty Yorkshire pudding, roasted potatoes, and sausages. They also offer delightful apple-based dishes and a fine assortment of quality beers.
Really good haggis and scotch eggs. Waiters are really nice. We were there with a 2yo child, music was not loud and they have highchairs. Just a bit disappointing for thé dessert. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £30–40

"We ordered the messy cheeseburger (4/10), chicken tacos (5/10), mozzarella (5/10), and brownies (8/10). Overall, the food was not very impressive. However, the staff and service were excellent."
