The Cavern Of The Curious Gnome

We had been eagerly anticipating our visit to The Cavern of the Curious Gnome in Chester for months. It was a lovely sunny day, and we arrived with our two small, well-behaved dogs, excited to finally experience the much-praised atmosphere. To our complete surprise, we were told that dogs are not allowed anywhere on the premises, not even in the outdoor seating area. This policy is absolutely perplexing. The outdoor space is directly accessible from the Rows—Chester’s main thoroughfare—making it even more ridiculous that they refuse to accommodate dog owners. I have never come across such an unfriendly, outdated, and frankly anti-social policy. This is a pub, not a Michelin-starred restauran...
