The Central Restaurant Bar

This was a fantastic surprise. I happened to be in the area, and found this restaurant on Yelp. Glad I did! My dinner guest and I loved the place before we were seated. Great decor, terrific lighting, and the kind of casual and relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to stay a while. Our server, Niki, was super friendly and helpful throughout our meal. We ordered several sides and split a burger. First out were the meatballs. Three giant meatballs covered in delicious sauce, cheese, and pesto. Tender, savory, perfect. I particularly enjoyed the Salad, Burrata Caprese, and the Truffle Fries, all of which were standout dishes. The Korean BBQ Sirloin Steak Tips were also exceptional, as were the Steak Tips. On the bright side, the haddock chowder and short-rib beef Wellington were fantastic. I ordered the scallop and haddock bake, which was served in a to-go tray reminiscent of an airline meal. My parents commented on the presentation, and the server didn’t take it well. Despite these hiccups, we had a wonderful evening together. A little less attitude from the staff could have pushed this experience to a 4 or 5-star rating. However, it’s worth giving it a try; perhaps they’ll treat you better than they did me.
