We stopped for lunch and found it to be quite expensive. The chips had the skins on, which wasn't to my liking as I prefer them without skins. Parking is limited, especially during the busy summer months, with few spaces available. The restaurant is just wide enough to accommodate a large wheelchair, but the narrow pavement outside the entrance can be a bit challenging. The price per person ranges from £1 to £10.
This pub is fantastic with lots of space, delicious food at an affordable price, fast and friendly service. I would definitely recommend it. Costing between £20-30 per person, the food, service, and atmosphere are all top-notch. I suggest trying the Butchers Cumberland Sausages with Mashed Potato and Red Onion Jam Jus - it's a must-try dish.
Both enjoyed a light meal and it was very enjoyable , nice size for a light meal. Sat upstairs with lovely views and a general good environment. Staff were friendly and we had good service. I dined upstairs and admired the nighttime sea view with the seafront lights. The food and service were excellent. The average cost per person was £20-30. I rated the food, service, and atmosphere as a perfect 5 out of 5.
The Charles Dickens has been recently refurbished under new ownership and the final product is excellent.
