I absolutely adore The Chimneys, starting with how charming and picturesque the setting is. It is situated perfectly on the beach, offering a beautiful view. We arrived for our 1p.m Sunday Brunch reservation and were greeted warmly with smiling faces. We were promptly seated at a table with a stunning view of the golf course. The Brunch menu was extensive and offered a variety of options that made me want to return for more. The Chimneys also offers a separate menu from their typical brunch menu, which includes a combination of gourmet brunch selections and classic favorites. I opted for the eggs benedict, which came with a choice of ham or bacon, two sides, and a complimentary glass of cham...
Finding this restaurant was a bit tricky. If you don't know where the GPS location is, you might drive right past it. We ended up in the parking lot of Salute and had to ask for directions. The restaurant is a beautiful old house with a large veranda where you can dine. I approached the hostess to inquire about our reservation, which we didn't have, but they were able to accommodate us without any wait. Our waitress quickly brought us warm French bread and butter while we waited for our meal. The food arrived promptly and it was clear that all the seafood was fresh. Overall, a great experience and we will definitely be returning.
We have eaten dinner here twice while on the coast and both times the food and service was excellent. We made reservations and have never had a wait. The location is beautiful, right across from the beach. Would highly recommend dining outside if it isn’t too hot. The menu has lots of fresh seafood options. We had the seared tuna appetizer and sautéed crab claws, both delicious. My husband got the special, which I think was stuffed redfish. I had the crabmeat Chimneys and it was great! We had 2 creme brûlée for dessert because it was so good we didn’t want to share. We will definitely be back again.
We made a reservation for 8pm but we had to wait a little due to large parties that came in earlier. While we waited, they allowed us to grab drinks at the bar. When we finally were sat, we ordered appetizers which came out quicker than expected. We ordered sautéed crab claws, seared tuna and crab cakes, all were delicious. For my entree, I got their special of the day, Red fish with lump crab shrimp and their garlic potatoes. I did get to try my wife’s Oysters Chimney’s which were excellent. Unfortunately when you Google Gourmet Breakfast in Mississippi Waffle House and McDonalds comes up. Thankfully I looked deeper and found this place to have brunch. I ordered the crab cakes and fried eggs, a side of bacon, and a side of cheese grits. Everything was tasty beyond expectations. And I say that because locally there aren't a lot of options for a decent breakfast. This place is definitely worth a visit for sure. Our server Bryan was attentive, informative, and our food arrived promptly and with complimentary mimosas! Go here.
We have been dining at Chimneys since its original location, which we found in 1990. We have visited numerous times because the food is always amazing and fabulous. We recently went for brunch on Sunday and everything was delicious, as usual. Our server, Eric, did a great job even though we were a bit confused. Despite the 90-minute drive, it is always worth it. Special thanks to Sophie and Watson for maintaining the tradition!
we chose this on the basis of assessments, our beginning when we set ourselves was terrible. After we asked for a new server, our visit turned around immediately. our waitress was very attentive and recommended. everything we ordered was delicious and fresh. we will definitely visit again when back in the opposite.
