delicious lunch. lunchtime, they arrive immediately in order to avoid daylines. we have switched on, they can also order or call in order. we ate:fish and chips (we chose sweet potatoes:) simply the best, lightest, fishbatter I ever had in the pnw. Tarter sauce was great and I bet she's a sand dollar homemade. baked oysters: best fried oysters. the same light, not too bold as the fish and chips. burger: delicious wood charcoal, large puffy brioche bungalow. chowder: famous chowder, they have won many awards for it. it was good, but I would skip it next time. I had heard good things about the Chowder Stop so stopped in during lunch (12:30 on a weekday) and the they were very busy. There was a wait for tables. Note, they close from 11-12pm to change over from breakfast to lunch. I ordered a togo order ofchowder/grill cheese and waited outside in the alley until called. The wait wasn't too bad for as busy as they were. Thechowder was solid, but a little too black peppery for my taste to give 5 stars. The beach is just down the street so thescenery was very nice.

my man and I planned an overnight stay in longbeach especially for the attempt of chowders at chowder stop. we drove 3 hours down there and we were not disappointed! the texture, taste and spice of her chowder is absolutely on point. the staff offered a wonderful service and they were very friendly and attentive. we will check the chowder stop for every case! P.S her fish and chips are also amazing.

I've eaten here more than once over the past few years and they never disappoint. Even during Covid the service is friendly and the food is great. We hope to retire here some day and plan on being regulars at this smaller sized restaurant. The chowder is one of the best in town and their other food isn't bad either. The clam chowder is so good that after our lunch of the chowder and the delicious halibut fish and chips (oh my gosh the chips, aka fabulous fries, are also a great reason to go back) we added a quart of chowder to go! The staff is so wonderfully friendly! A must stop when visiting the area!

the interieur loved it. waitress who said she was new, was warm and personal. my problem was with the Halibut sandwich. it was advertised as on a Brioche book, but came to Texas toast. the brot drowned the fish. chowder was solid.

Excellent clam chowder and great sandwiches. The french fries are hot and crispy. Very tasty!!! Easy to find on the Bolstad Approach, but no parking in front of the building. Need to find a parking spot in the neighborhood.

Was there yesterday. I love their Reuben’s. Also fish and chips are delish. I highly recommend the Chowder Stop. Hugh portions and anything you order will be good, not to mention the wonder staff. So friendly Reserva una mesa ahora

Everything we ordered was delicious enormous portions. Cute little hole in the wall, definitely worth it. Friendly staff. They didn?t have a kids menu, can easily split a meal between 2 kids.

this place is the best. eating is top-notch. they must have the chowder, as the portions are generous, and it is the best chowder ever. the fish and the chops are delicious. here's a must!
