The Churchill Arms

Just moved into the area and The Churchill Arms is just down the road so we have decided to use it as our local. Decent menu, tried most items, ranging from the All Day Breakfast, Roast dinner, Burger, Scampi and Pies. It’s not a gastro pub so don’t expect Froie Gras, with budgie Bon bons with a lime foam! Just good quality food at reasonable prices. The bar staff are very friendly and extremely welcoming, great service all round. This appears to be a great community based pub which is exactly what we need to protect. We’ll continue to use this as our local and recommend anyone to visit.

This pub is very quiet on a Saturday evening, so there isn't much of an atmosphere, but the staff were friendly. I ordered the home made burger which came with chunky chips, coleslaw, a small wedge of tomato, and a sad-looking collection of lettuce. I added cheese as an extra, but when the burger arrived it had 2 patties and cheese only, making it a dry and flavorless meal. Despite this, I ate the burger because I was hungry and didn't want to waste the overpriced and disappointing dish that cost £16.20.

Beer and service is fine. Have had 3 meals here and wouldn 't recommend it... 'homemade fresh lasagna ' that was clearly a few days old and microwaved or similar to warm up, aburger another trip that was literally just a bap and burger with no salad pickle anything..very odd, tastless and dry. Final chance I tried the chips cone...poor quantity. Sorry to be negative but this is my honest opinion and you do state its fresh etc and charge a fair amount for this.

I had the burger and can agree with previous comments. Only 2 dry burgers in a bun, although I did pay extra for spoe cheese.This meal came with chips, coleslaw 1small chunck of tomato and some dying lettuce. Would not recommend for £16.20.

Disappointing burger. Just meat and a bun. Uninspiring salad and chips accompaniment. Don't think I've ever been served a burger like this. Usually come with relish, burger sauce, onion, salad in the bun etc.

I stopped by for a drink and couldn't find any faults with the place. The only reason I didn't give it a five-star rating was because it was a bit pricey, but the drink was still great.

Delicious meal and the steak was 10/10 Will definitely be back! Thank you for a lovely meal Highly recommend made a lovely change to go and have a high quality pub dinner

Really lovely food. Friendly staff and good service. Can’t fault them. Went there with a very large group and they got all our food out at the same time. Excellent service.
