I don't like coffee club and I don't like it on racecourse rd. the service has never been amazing and on a number of occasions there has been extreme tension behind the counter. I don't like the coffee clubs food, I think it is so bland and I don't like chain cafes like this. They focus on quantity not quality. Given the area, customers are willing to pay more for food, but I would only pay more for a gourmet meal. In such a beautiful area, the coffee club doesn't belong there and is a disappointment when something far better could take its place. I hope that with the eventual redevelopment of racecourse Rd, that coffee club gets the boot. They do serve some good cakes and things but I just...
I had avoided this place after a bad experience a couple of years ago but it appears to be under new management - decor has been refreshed- it's clean and staff are friendly.
Unfortunately that's where the good news ends.
My avocado of toast was the saddest most miserly scrape of green slime that tasted of nothing, garnished with a lemon wedge, a few crumbs of feta and two cherry tomatoes (uncut) plopped on the plate.
I was starving and not in the mood for a confrontation but I was less than impressed. It looked unappetising and tasted worse.
For the love of life just use sliced avocado or take it off your menu!!!!

A Truly terrible experience, poor service is an Australian thing but this place takes that to a whole new level. I had the Grilled chicken, cheese and avocado toasted sandwich and it was tasteless, cold and certainly not to the standard they were charging for it. I waited an eternity for a simple toasted sandwich! The atmosphere here was also very tense as one of the staff (manager?) could be heard screaming at her staff in the kitchen, unprofessional and leaving us wanting to move on and never return.

This chain never fails to disappoint. Their menu is a constant joke, the food quality is rarely anywhere above average and yet they will charge exorbitant prices. Even in an area such as Ascot they deliver the same sub par McCafe on steroids standard they do say every other location.
