The Commercial Inn

I have been going to this pub for many years and my favourite day to go is a Sunday, if you time it right with your food you can always stick around for the meat raffle at 6.30. It is a busy pub with excellent food and service, the meat raffle increases the good atmosphere that is already there and if you are luckily enough to win everyone celebrates with you. You do not have to go for food, they have a great selection of drinks on the bar, with friendly staff to serve. If Sunday’s not your thing then men’s darts and dominoes on a Monday, quiz night on a Tuesday, which is always a laugh, ladies darts and dominoes on a Wednesday, Thursday is pool night and then the weekend you are guaranteed...

This restaurant is a great place to visit any day of the week, no matter the weather. I went there for lunch on a rainy day and was warmly welcomed by the staff. They seated us at a table and quickly took our drink order. The food arrived hot and nicely presented in a reasonable amount of time. The waitress was very attentive and checked back to make sure everything was okay (bonus points for this)! It's a charming pub with a wide selection of food, beers, wines, and spirits. I can't wait to go back again!

It took one hour for our food order to be taken after we had already had to ask for menus and then ask twice if we could order food. We had been completely forgotten about despite several attempts to get served. The lady who served us was lovely but it is not okay to wait for one hour. The food was your nice standard pub food. I had the beef Sunday roast and the beef was lovely. If we weren’t waiting to be served for so long the stars would have been higher but it really ruined the experience.

We went to a Captain of the Lost Waves gig last night. The sound guy did a brilliant job on clarity, balance and volume perfect! We'll be going to more events! The Captain was on form too, do see him if he's performing near you. The Commercial is a surprisingly large and comfortable pub with a friendly atmosphere. They serve a wide range of drinks at moderate prices the food looked great and has a good reputation, although we didn't eat there. Reserva una mesa ahora

Booked a table for today and the food was exceptional. Nice friendly service and good selection of drinks. One of our party is gluten free and she was impressed with the menu presented to her and really enjoyed her meal. A big, fat recommendation.

Our group of seven walkers were well received, and served a delicious meal in pleasant surroundings, by friendly and efficient staff. What more could one ask.

This local pub is fantastic. They have a great selection of beers and delicious pub dishes. The roast lamb for Sunday Roast is simply amazing.

I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone passing through Glossop. The food is delicious and straightforward.
