I don't know how The Copper Chimney does it. You get great Indian food (slightly westernized for the North Toronto crowd) with decent sized portions at ridiculously cheap prices. It's sad to watch success lead to arrogance and quality issues left unchecked. The beginning of the end I'm afraid. This restaurant has no concept of customer service and obviously believes that the customer is there for them - not that they should be there for the customer. I ordered a meal for my family emphasizing that we have a dairy sensitivity. They understood the order but made a mistake delivered one dish with cheese. I have tried this place several times. I used to dine in, then tried delivery and have picked up the food. The service has always been poor but it has now become horrendous. The owner's daughter is extremely rude, she has screamed at my husband over the telephone when we called because the food was over an hour late. The food when delivered in prior deliveries was mixed up, items were missing or the food was cold. The food, at least the vegetarian items, are mediocre at best. I have been to the Copper Chimney a number of times now and have enjoyed it each time. The menu is reasonably varied and moderately priced. The service is decent. There are quite a number of vegetarian options as well as meat and fish dishes. I tried a salmon tikka this time and I would say that it was overdone. Also had aloo ghobi, saag paneer and one other vegetarian dish. These dishes were decent, though a bit bland for Indian food. The na'ans were fresh and tasty, right out of the oven. White tables cloths, excellent service and a wide variety of choices makes this a favourite Indian food Restaurant in Toronto. From Naan to Sagg to Marsala you can't go wrong. Be sure to ask the waiter for help in your choices if you aren't sure. Great to share all the dishes with the whole table.
Had an excellent dinner of daal, butter chicken, lamb roganjosh, rice and nana bread. Everything was very good but the lamb was excellent. The service was good as we sat on their small outdoor patio.
Went for lunch after number of years. The place is falling apart. I understand that the pricing has increased everywhere based on COVID, but here they reduced the amounts, and quality has degraded.
This is a great little neighborhood restaurant. Everything that I have had there has been excellent. Both vegetarian and meat dishes are extremely tasty. The service is both friendly and fast.
