If you like the feel and standard of canteen food then this is the place for you. The food was what we were expecting, but the service was none existent. Nobody seemed to know what was going on. Most of the food ran out and I was told I could wait 20 mins for some pasta for my 9 Yr old to be cooked if I wanted They ran out of forks and I had to tell the young gentleman who was struggling to get a tray of them out of a cupboard that there were boxes in the way and that was what was hampering him. Loads of tables were left unclean and piled.up with plates. There was someone on their break eating a fish and chips which I was told was all sold out and taking up a whole bench in the, ahem, restaurant. One final insult was a cream tea that was advertised for £9.95 and for an extra £3 you could have tea with it!!! The £9.95 was just for 2 sorry looking scones with Jam! Needless to say we won't be returning......

Had a ham baguette which was expensive and absolutely revolting. Inedible. If I had dropped it on my toe it would probable have fractured my metatarsal bone. The rock hard and crumbling bread had obviously been sitting there for days, along with the “ham” inside it. There was a board outside that advertised a salad bar, but once lured inside, didn’t exist probably because the stench of old cooking oil would have wilted the lettuce. Unless you want to spend your holiday knocking back Imodium, I’d steer well clear.

Having read other reviews, I was not expecting much, and found it to be good considering there is no competition to keep them on their toes. The staff were helpful but not the best. We had a pasty and coffee, both warm and did the job. We managed to grab a seat by the window with great views of the sea, my son watch the boats go by. All in all, a nice spot to sit down and grab a bite, especially if the weather took a turn for the worst. Service: Dine in
