If you like the feel and standard of canteen food then this is the place for you. The food was what we were expecting, but the service was none existent. Nobody seemed to know what was going on. Most of the food ran out and I was told I could wait 20 mins for some pasta for my 9 Yr old to be cooked if I wanted They ran out of forks and I had to tell the young gentleman who was struggling to get a tray of them out of a cupboard that there were boxes in the way and that was what was hampering him. Loads of tables were left unclean and piled.up with plates. There was someone on their break eating a fish and chips which I was told was all sold out and taking up a whole bench in the, ahem, restau...
We came down today with our family from overseas and apart from the very talkative young lady that served us I was actually shocked at how badly the staff behaved there was a man eating his lunch obviously on his break in his uniform shouting over to another male member of staff for quite some time that was walking around crashing and banging doors glasses plates and the benches the food was overpriced and sub standard as a local we felt embarrassed that we had chosen this place to take out family I most definitely won't be recommending this place we were offered compensation in the form of cups of tea which really is an insult won't be coming back
I ordered a ham baguette, which was overpriced and completely disgusting. It was inedible. If I had dropped it on my foot, it likely would have broken my metatarsal bone. The bread was rock-hard and crumbled easily, clearly having been sitting out for days, just like the questionable "ham" inside. There was a sign outside promoting a salad bar, but once inside, it was nonexistent—likely because the smell of old cooking oil would have spoiled the lettuce. Unless you want your vacation to involve taking Imodium, I would strongly recommend avoiding this place.
"Let me share my experience at this restaurant. I arrived around 9:45 AM last week, eager for breakfast, and was pleased to see the lights on and staff present, which suggested they were open. However, when I looked at the hot plates and menu, there was no breakfast available. I asked a staff member if they were serving breakfast, and the answer was a flat 'no.' Having read other reviews, I was not expecting much, and found it to be good considering there is no competition to keep them on their toes. The staff were helpful but not the best. We had a pasty and coffee, both warm and did the job. We managed to grab a seat by the window with great views of the sea, my son watch the boats go by. All in all, a nice spot to sit down and grab a bite, especially if the weather took a turn for the worst. Service: Dine in
