The Cottage Cafe And

The experience was decent. I visited for a casual Saturday lunch while staying overnight in the lovely Bethany Beach. We must have arrived at the right time because we were seated quickly, avoiding the lunch rush. My friends have specific dietary preferences, and the server was very attentive; he checked with the kitchen to confirm certain ingredients in the soups before returning with the information, allowing them to make informed choices. I enjoyed the salad with nuts and strawberries, but I found the cup of crab soup I ordered to be excessively salty, which I did not enjoy. I did appreciate the quick follow-up from both the hostess and a manager.

The service was a bit slow, but the staff were friendly. Unfortunately, the food felt quite basic and was reminiscent of what you might find from a Sysco truck. The coconut shrimp tasted like they came from a frozen box you’d buy at the grocery store. The salad was just a simple plate of greens. I tried the crabcake sandwich, which they claim has won awards, but I didn’t understand why. It resembled more of a crab fritter with a thick layer of breadcrumbs covering the entire patty.

On the downside, the coffee wasn't very good, and the only tea option was basic Lipton served in a tiny cup that barely holds two sips of lukewarm water. I don’t think it’s worth $3 each. The restaurant used to have a better vibe, but now it seems understaffed, with only one server per section. The display could also benefit from some fresh pastries and cakes to enhance the overall experience. The place definitely needs a bit of a refresh.

I had a positive experience at the restaurant. The service and food were both quite good. For lunch, the price per person was between $10 and $20. I would rate the food a 4 out of 5, the service a 4 out of 5, and the atmosphere a 4 out of 5 as well. Reserva una mesa ahora

As for parking, there is a decent amount available, but it can be a challenge to find a spot during busy times, which happens often. I ordered takeout for dinner, and the service was good.

Great first time at Cottage Cafe. Happy Hour I think from 1 to 6 everyday a very nice menu and good offer. We stole the last two bars.
