We went as a family today after pumpkin picking. Horrible wet day and we all took our wellies off at the door, respecting the sign that said “no muddy shoes”. We all wanted to use the loo to wash our hands first of all (bit muddy after pumpkin picking! but were told the toilets were out of order and were pointed in the direction of courtyard toilets. Whilst we were waiting for my hubby to come back with clean trainers I asked my 2 young daughters to go and find a table to sit at there were plenty to choose from. The afternoon tea at this restaurant was outstanding. The Victoria sponge cake was one of the best I've had, and the cheese sandwich scones were delicious. The staff were amazing, friendly, and helpful. I had a great conversation with one of them, who I think may have been the owner, as I bought a tin of Robin biscuits from them for a Christmas present for my grandmother. I noticed they were also selling bracelets on the side, and when my friend explained that I was collecting raffle prizes to raise money for the Great Ormond Street Hospital, the lady donated two bracelets. It was very busy when arrived , we had booked and seen to our table . The staff was coping well and well organised. The customers appeared happy and content. A very rude and immature person (female) walked in and demanded a table which was obviously not possible at that time . The woman was very rude and aggressive towards the manager who very politely tried to explain but was not allowed to speak. The woman became increasingly aggressive towards the management lady . If your going in to anywhere such as restaurants it’s always advisable to book to avoid disappointment. I have been here before and always found it to be of good quality and value for money .I hadn't booked on this occasion but found the staff very polite and they soon found us a table. After placing the order we didn't have to wait long before our drinks and food were served by the young waitresses who were very professional an attentive to hour needs, during the meal they also checked to see if all was ok. The area and tables were constantly being kept clean and tidy by all members of staff. I look forward to returning in the very near future and highly recommend. Additionally meals are available from breakfast to afternoon tea and cater for most peoples needs.

From arrival the staff were not very friendly. Half my family arrived first and wanted to order drinks. These couldn’t be added to a bill, they had to be paid for up front. We all ordered breakfasts. One waitress was friendly, the other was stone faced and miserable. We had regular Brogdale breakfasts and the mushrooms were black, the tomato was black and the bacon was black. The beans were cold. The only nice thing was the toast that came with it. As we had another appointment we didn’t have time to complain, but how they thought the breakfast looked good enough to serve beats me. Definitely not like the pictures on their fb page. Will not be returning. Shame
I visited the restaurant today after a long time since my last disappointing visit. I walked in with hope, but found it empty. I was seated and served quickly. The cakes were overpriced and the lemon drizzle cake lacked flavor. The coffee was good. The atmosphere was not very welcoming. There was a lingering smell of fried food in the air and on clothes. It's a shame because it used to be a lively place to hang out and socialize.
I visited the restaurant with a group of colleagues after a long meeting at work for some lunch. All members off staff were very welcoming and friendly towards my colleagues and I. The food was amazing very well done to the chef. The members off the staff did an amazing job. Would defiantly recommend and revisit on another date.
Local restaurant to me as recently moved nearby , Very impressive, pleasant, attentive staff, Prices affordable, will be a regular visitor.

Poor, in fact I 'd go as far as to say rude staff you seemed annoyed to be working there. Very disappointing.
