Eight of us went on 9th October evening to celebrate a birthday. Unfortunately the waitress was full of cold, sneezing and spluttering over the food and the people and she had lost her voice (not her fault I know, but it was not pleasant when her nose was running when she was taking our order. She had to shout to be heard and all you could hear was her failing voice all evening. Secondly, they had run out of food, some of the starters, mains and puddings had sold out. Surely you know the amount of covers you have to cater for and this should not have happened on the second day of opening. The cost of the food was high for the size portions. I had been eagerly anticipating my visit to this restaurant after seeing the renovations on social media. It is clear that a lot of money has been invested in the establishment, and it seems they are trying to recoup their costs through their food prices. While the menu is intriguing, I found it to be quite overpriced for the portion sizes and the casual setting of a pub where dogs are allowed. Our waitress seemed a bit brusque and rushed, almost tossing our plates at us, which we found amusing. Even when dessert arrived and some of the ice cream had fallen off, she chuckled and blamed it on her haste. Short notice booking made thru Open Table. As there were 4 of us, we chose to sit in conservatory overlooking garden which is a work in progress but hey, it's November. Food was delicious and good choices, staff were attentive but not overly and was reasonable value for money. Would recommend u try it Vegetarian options: Some good veggie options Service: Dine in

Newly refurbished, early October 2022, bright interior but with touches of old pub style. Nicely done. Menu has a bit everything, quick stop so had a cured trout starter, truffle Mac and cheese side with sticky toffee pudding between two. All delicious and freshly made. Clearly a decent kitchen in the back. Definitely recommend Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

A quiet drink post covid booster. Haven't been here for a long time but the decor was awesome, a beautiful new conservatory dining area and although we didn't eat the menu looked varied and very appetising. The gentleman, who I assume is the new landlord was engaging and very welcoming. Will certainly be back sooner rather than later.

Went for Sunday lunch at the Coventry Arms without a booking and managed to get a table in the extension overlooking the garden which was warm but a bit soulless. The food and service however was first class Sunday roast at its finest and a good wine list We will return and recommend

eating in a dome was fantastic! almost minus temperatures outside, but we had to turn the heating down, and with the phone connectivity for music it made a great night. amazing eating, huge portions, well maintained camp, very friendly and helpful staff and good prices.

I really enjoyed eating and the dune in a dome experience of the service is great, so will definitely come back. for people who enjoy cursed rooms and riddles, they also do curse boxes that they can do on their table. not yet tried, but next time we will.

New owners in a newly refurbished and extended pub: it’s lovely! The beer is good, the burger was excellent (not rubbery, hooray! Nice texture, tasty and well seasoned) and the staff are great. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £10–20

We enjoyed a delicious meal of fish and chips with mushy peas. Everything was exceptional, even the peas stood out. We highly recommend this place for dinner. The average price per person is between £10 and £20.
