Update_. Owner has replied, saying how disappointed they are with my review. I appreciate your disappointment, but as a paying customers to be served overcooked vegatables that are flavourless soggy and dry meat, yet we paid and made no fuss, is a lot more disappointing. The point of my honest review is to highlight to other customers that if they are expecting fresh food that is cooked well and tastes good, they need to be prepared to be disappointed also. Booked this off the positive Google reviews, really disappointed. This is not fresh food it is out of the packet or freezer food. Famiy run business ,great atmosphere.! My wife and I spent a week in EX39,this is the best pub grub that you will find in the area.! Guaranteed.! Parking: This pub is not a tourist known pub until now .! My wife and I were recommended by a local neighbour.! Pie’s fantastic.! We had a wonderful carvery lunch with a group of nine, two of whom are vegetarian. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and we all left with clean plates. The nut roast was delightful, and they kindly provided separate vegetarian roast potatoes and veggie gravy. The meat-eaters were also very impressed with their dishes. Overall, it was great value for money, and the service was friendly and efficient. Food: 4, Service: 4, Atmosphere: 4.
