We had a last-minute family lunch and it turned out to be a great choice! The service was fantastic, with nothing being too much trouble - they even provided a highchair for the baby. The food was delicious, with most of us opting for the beef which was very tasty. The nut roast and naked burger were also enjoyed, although the burger initially arrived without all the trimmings but was quickly fixed. I visited this restaurant for the second time, choosing it for New Year's Eve as my previous experience was enjoyable. There were six of us in our party and we were seated in a very brightly lit restaurant. Unfortunately, there were no festive decorations on the table. We had to remind the staff about our pre-dinner cocktails, which arrived just moments before our starters. The food was decent, but they had run out of some menu items. Lovely place to visit. Staff were friendly and polite. We have been for lunch before and the food was great. Starter was lovely really tasty. Main course Yorkshire pudding were dry and hard, roast potatoes were not cooked properly, carrot was far too big, green vegetables were lovely. Puddings lemon meringue pie was absolutely appalling in quantity and taste. School pudding not enough custard and was served cold. Overall meal was not worth what we paid. Very disappointing. Ordered Steak Pie, but after a 45-minute waiting period, a chicken and bacon Pie was accidental. There was no mashed potatoes, so chips had to have. Fruit apple wine was not available, although it was one of the pump lice. Vegetables were not frozen fresh. The cake was changed later and my money was returned by the mandatory administrator, but I felt very disappointed. Not the special meal I was hoping for.

The restaurant is lovely well decorated and pleasant. Unfortunately the food was cold, plates were cold, roast potatoes solid. Considering the wait to get food it was surprising it was cold. The staff didn’t acknowledge you for long periods and you were just stood waiting. It’s a shame as we walked in and it was lovely and we had high hopes but unfortunately I think it needs a little work on the food front.
This was my second visit to this restaurant for Sunday lunch, but unfortunately the beef I ordered was very tough and stringy this time. It was a shame because we had recommended this place to my mother. However, the vegetables and dessert were delicious. The ambience and service were great, it's just disappointing about the meat quality.
Absolutely excellent service, ambience and surroundings just right, dining room as lovely, food beautiful. Lots of veg, cauliflower cheese gorgeous and far more than normal on our plate. Really really nice and very good value. Have already recommended to others and looking to book afternoon tea for myself and friends in January 24
Great staff who could not do enough for us which was amazing considering one of our party was in a wheelchair and I am both vegetarian and gluten in tolerant. The food was delicious, quick and we felt very well looked after.
