The Cross Keys - Reserva de mesa

It was many years since I last visited here and I enjoyed the food then. Having just moved back into the area I thought I would give it a try. I was not disappointed. The staff were lovely. Friendly and helpful with my questions. The food was just lovely. We had two large light yorkshire puddings with gravy perfect. The Cross Keys Burger, served with chips followed and was said to be delicious. Saschas chicken supreme was perfectly cooked chicken, spring onion mash, served with a gorgeous creamy mushroom sauce. Over priced, asked for more roast potatoes, as all I was given was 3 1/4. I was changed £4 more on top of the over priced roast at £19 for 2 slices of beef, there was 6 people for lunch everyone had to share the vegetables that's not the problem. The problem was we had 2 1/4 to share asked for more veg. The ladies face said it all. We have to change you for more veg. I will not be back again because of the owner attitude to asking. Such a shame

Stumbled across this pub yesterday on way back from York, great welcome and food was amazing. Thai curry 11/10 great portion and Cooked to perfection. steak pie same good portion size too and chips were so fluffy. Service was great too can’t thank you enough really enjoyed our meal.

Had the best Christmas lunch also the best veggie Christmas lunch out ever quorn roast, pigs in blankets, the works never usually get something the same as the meat eaters for a veggie Christmas lunch! the food was ok, not too over priced, my peas were cold but i wasnt upset over this, however i was upset over a bar bill of £12.50 for a bacardi and coke a pint of orange cordial, WTF, lets promote drink and driving, dont ever go to this place, god forgive you get a double.

Nice pub, popular with the locals, friendly atmosphere. Worth booking if you want to eat as it does get busy. Can sometimes be hard to find a seat inside, that's pretty much my only complaint. Nice beer garden for the summer.

We went in for a single pint of Neck Oil and an orange juice. £9.70!!! I will not be returning with less than pleasant bar staff too.

The pub is an important part of the community. Warm welcome, good food drink. Dan is a great landlord.
