We've visited this place numerous times over the past year or two. It always makes me happy to turn off the A14 and drive down to the village to camp behind the pub. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the pub serves fantastic food. The portions are generous, and the quality is consistently excellent. Unfortunately, the pub is currently closed, like many others, but we're still enjoying our time here in the field.

We had an excellent experience at this restaurant during our one-night stay while heading to the Santa Pod race meeting. It's a perfect pit stop for anyone traveling from Newcastle upon Tyne. The food was delicious, the staff were wonderful, and the friendly locals made us feel right at home. We highly recommend it!

Excellent food , plus very reasonably priced .Hosts very friendly , plus caravan site looks great , will be looking to spend few days there in summer .
