The Cross Keys Inn

We were a group of ten people and had a fantastic dining experience at Cross Keys. I started with the chorizo scotch egg which was cooked perfectly with a delicious runny yolk. For my main, I had the rump steak with blue cheese sauce which was also cooked to perfection. The rest of the group enjoyed dishes like Monkfish, Thai curry, and burgers, all of which were excellent. Everyone agreed that the food was top quality. My only small complaint would be that the sauce was a bit watery, but that's just being picky. I would highly recommend Cross Keys to anyone looking for a great meal in a lovely setting.

Excellent food, dog friendly, nice staff and a proper pub atmosphere. Better than expected given its somewhat limited online presence (we could only view half the menu on the Facebook page, so it was a nice surprise to find a good choice of dishes). Recommended, and will certainly visit again when in the area

I’ve never had such a delicious bowl of soup home made celeriac and truffle. Also great ale, lovely welcome. If you’re out walking, it’s a lovely spot to visit but really, I’d make a special journey just for the soup!

The staff at this restaurant is amazing, the beer selection is fantastic, and the ambiance is perfect! We definitely plan on returning frequently during the winter to relax by the fire.

Called in for a quick drink and we had such a welcoming reception ! What a great little pub it's so nice to see a traditional pub doing so well !
