Brilliant pub and kitchen. All dishes delicious: blue cheese ham croquetas, crispy sardine and panzanella (stand-out), brown shrimp, and mains of bacon chop and an excellent home-made brown sauce, and curried cod cheeks with super curried garnishes. Really tasty, gutsy cooking, with upbeat, good-natured service. Nice little wine list too. White Rioja was delicious. We’d definitely return on another visit to Hastings. Price per person: £40–50

Went for a family meal on a Monday night, glad we booked as most tables were full (sign of a good restaurant). The food was amazing, not sure 5 stars is a high enough rating. Everyone's meal was perfectly cooked, fantastic flavours, and decent portion sizes. A place I'd definitely want to go back to again if I was in the area. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The food was the best I had had in a long time. Delicious. Well presented. Staff were knowledgeable and welcoming. I sat outside in the sun, pretty street. One of those pubs you wish you had locally. A very different experience to one I had lately in Hasketon. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Lovely atmosphere, super friendly staff, great food and good portions. We had the vegan fritters and they were excellent. Staff were very attentive and gave better service than what you'd expect from just a pub. Highly recommend for ambience, location, and food. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
