The food at this restaurant is exceptional, but unfortunately, the staff are not very friendly or helpful. They offer a special deal where you can choose a starter, main, half a side, and either naan or rice for under ten pounds, as advertised in posters inside the restaurant. However, when we tried to order wine, we were limited to only one option and the rest were not available. We ordered our food according to the special offer, but when we received the bill, we were charged for each individual item instead of the set menu deal. Even though the waiter had confirmed our order as the set menu, we were told we had to pay the full amount because we hadn't specified we were using the meal deal...
I ordered food for delivery totaling over £30, and it arrived on time, but the temperature was just okay. However, the food itself was terrible. The korma had no flavor, and the tikka masala tasted like chicken smothered in tomato soup. The naan breads were also not very good. When we called to complain, we were told that korma is supposed to taste bland. The manager refused a refund and offered 2 free dishes on our next order, knowing we likely won't return. It's clear that the restaurant lacks pride in their food and has a bad attitude. This is not the way to run a restaurant.
We have both sat in here as well as ordered over the years.When we first visited 7 years ago,there was the most miserable Indian waiter i have ever seen,so angry it made us all laugh.However the sit in food was excellent.The takeaway food has always been good,and compared to a restaurant very nearby the delivery person here at least speaks to you at the door!!I have also heard The Curry Garden has an award winning chef,it is good food,but certainly not the best.Delivery times can vary,not bad to painfully slow to even oops i forgot you!!We have had all 3!!
I was very disappointed, I ordered food for delivery and was informed there would be a 45 minute wait. After waiting over an hour I contacted the restaurant and was told very abruptly that it was out for delivery, before the phone was put down on me. After nearly2 hours wait I contacted them again, the man I spoke to was extremely rude and told me I should expect that on a Friday night. We used to order from The Curry Garden for home delivery regularly. The food was great at first, but over time the portions got smaller and the quality declined. About 6 months ago, the food was so bad that we stopped ordering from them. It's unfortunate because we used to enjoy our curry nights. We have now switched to another Indian restaurant that also delivers to us.
My family new to in rushden so we are looking to have a meal in rushden and we have choice to go The curry garden in rushden for take way food it was our test staff was very good helpful on the phone and service was great excellent meal too thanks every chef we will back always keep doing good meal !!
Arriving me and my friend wasn't welcomed in the best of manners. We took out seats swiftly and began to look at the menu. Whilst the menu looked exciting, the food wasn't. I had to have my food taken back twice, because they didn't listen to simple requests. Would not recommend, wouldn't come back!
Enjoyed a meal with a mate on Saturday night. Not the best food but not at all bad either. Very good value, 2 of us had what we wanted including beers and it only came to £34 in total. Staff were friendly aswell. Overall very good and will be visiting again. Reserva una mesa ahora
