I stopped by for a quick visit and found the place in need of an update. The food looked decent, and there were some nice ales available. However, when I spoke with George, the barman, he advised against leaving a tip on the card because the staff doesn’t receive tips from card payments. What kind of company operates like that? I decided to give a cash tip directly to avoid fat-cat management benefiting from it. I probably won't be coming back as the outdated management clearly needs to learn some better practices, though I’m sure they think they have it all figured out. We dined as a group of five and had a great time with a few drinks. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the staff were polite and welcoming. Everyone enjoyed their meals with no complaints. We ordered burgers and fish and chips, and the fish was fantastic—freshly cooked and served with crispy French fries. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would rate it five stars. The price per person was around £60–70.
I had the belly of pork, which was delicious, while my wife enjoyed the beer-battered cod, also very tasty. We paired our meal with a nice beer and tonic water. What an amazing day for our son's baptism! We rented the upper floor for our celebration, and the food was not only delicious but also very reasonably priced. The staff was incredibly courteous and went above and beyond to accommodate us. We will definitely consider renting the upper floor again for future events. It was a fantastic day at one of our favorite pubs. Thank you!

Turned up today unplanned 11 of us and two big dogs, we asked if the fit us in for lunch. Nothing was too much trouble the barman set us up a large table and ran around after us. Food was amazing very filling, the kitchen coped well with some fussy guests and a GF meal. Top marks amazing place top review well done guys. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5
