Found this restaurant by chance. My friend and I were looking for somewhere to have a pre concert dinner before going to the NEC. We were met by Shahir who quite simply epitomises what customer care and attention excellence should be. Nothing was too much trouble. This review is short and concise for a reason. Good food. Not greasy. Convenient location in town. We are frequent patrons. One issue—they advertise a 15% NHS discount on their print menu, but have given multiple reasons not to honour this (must be cash payment, must write in the comments about NHS discount, should phone in order). The only stipulation it says on the menu is “collection only”. This evening, they gave a 10% discount after checking with the manager, without explanation and on multiple occasions did not honour the discount at all. I’d rather the restaurant not advertise any discount at all than to do so and make excuses/feign ignorance when we come to collect/pay.
The seated restaurant is located above the kitchen and takeaway area. Reasonably priced food, I took advantage of an evening meal offer starter, main and rice or naan for £18.95. There were some exceptions including seafood, but most dishes were included. I ordered poppadoms (with the chutney tray), chicken pakora, pumpkin, chickpea and coconut curry with coconut rice. Everything tasted great and seemed freshly cooked. The curry was hot enough without being overwhelming! Service was friendly and efficient, I was looked after by Shahir and never kept waiting. It’s always a nice feeling to support local, independent restaurants.

We all tried something different and shared sides one of the best curries had in s long time a lovely relaxing atmosphere service was spot on wine poured and topped up for us all fab evening will deffo try again thank you

Superb. I’ve been coming here for years whilst working at the NEC. I’ve been for a meal in the restaurant but also as a solo diner downstairs at the bar looking out to the Main Street. The staff are friendly and the service is great. I often go for the spicy chicken tikka masala balti. Try it, you’ll not be disappointed
A fantastic place to go for dinner. 6 of us visited today and we all got different things. Each thing was delicious and everyone left happy. The staff were brilliant and very attentive, especially Shahir. Will definitely be visiting again!
Perfect for a casual yet professional dining experience. Food was top notch with a nice amount of time in between courses. Nothing was too much trouble. Didn’t feel rushed and so felt very welcome, thank you!
Had an amazing evening at this little jewel. Our works Xmas meal was made extra special by the quality of the food and excellent service from the team.
