We were happily greeted by the hostess and congratulated on Annivery. The restaurants atmosphere is very lovely, lots of outdoor seating, with heaters, and a large reflection pond and landscaped. We were seated next to outdoor seating behind glass that also was the run way from the kitchen. The bus-young-man was pleasant and attentive. Our first disappointment was on line the menu showed cioppino, the waiter said we rotate dishes, didn’t say that when we looked or we missed it. So second choice was A pasta dish, when it came we asked where’s the bread, (this is an Italian restaurant) they said we only have focaccia, we were charged. The pasta dish was not very flavorful. The braised beef was excellent, I asked for a replacement starch that was on the menu, he said he’d ask the chef. The calamari was good. Later a local told me they had sold recently and the chef is new. One, small pour of wine and 2 beers and dinner just under $200 with tip. Wont be back for a while, see what food improvements we hear about.
Went to the Depot Hotel restaurant for Easter on a beautiful day. We had a lovely view of the outside pool with it's sparkly fountain. The waitstaff was wonderful, the food was delicious and the ambiance was calm and restful with classic white, crisp linens. Sitting outside in the heat of the summer is preferable, but given that it was only March, it was a bit cool-although they do have heat lamps. A wonderful place for a special occasion.
We celebrated a birthday at The Depot and had a wonderful time. The service was outstanding...very attentive to every detail. The food was delicious; excellently prepared and served. We all enjoyed the outdoor ambiance of the patio, pool, and fountain. The waitstaff surprised our birthday girl singing a great rendition of Happy Birthday. Great way to end a delightful and delicious evening!
Only thing missing was bread how can you do what you do (Italian) and only offer focaccia as a starter?! Sort of left a whole table wanting. Serving burrata without bread is a sin in my book. As a result I don’t think I will return. Hide an extra $10 in the menu and serve some proper bread please. Don’t be stupid.
