I ordered the egg sandwich and short stack of pancakes. The English muffin for the egg sandwich was stale. The cheese used was the fake plastic kind (cheese that’s not really cheese just filler) and the eggs had no flavor. The pancakes were not warm, nor were they fluffy. I also had a direct view in the kitchen and saw none of the staff wearing gloves including the gentleman who was cutting and platting the avacoda with his bare hands. Oh and the towel they used to clean the counters, they were also using to clean the plates that were being plated before serving them to the clients.
I'm a professional hitman and a hearty, nutritious meal is an important part of my regimen. Right up there with cleaning my gun. Anyway, I always stop by The Diner for some good eats and some friendly banter with my fellow hitmen colleagues. Great crowd; nobody likes hanging around with a bunch of stiffs. I always order the Monte Cristo, because who doesn't love a ham and cheese sandwich on French Toast? Yum. Anyway, the waitstaff is great and I love the old style
My family and I had a great lunch here. The food and service was terrific, we had an awesome experience. The prices were reasonable and the appetizer portion of chicken fingers was perfect for our young one.We look forward to going back!Kid-friendliness: The staff was very accommodating and friendly towards our little one, we greatly appreciated it!
One of my go to spots when I'm hungry. It's smack dab in the middle of #AdamsMorgan which is a area in Washington DC where you can find all types of great food. This area is known for its international mixture which is awesome in so many ways.

It was amazing. I went at a crowded time on a Saturday. I managed to snag a seat at the bar. The portions are nice. The price is amazing. The service fast. I recommend this.
Perhaps America's most classic culinary institution it has always proven interesting to see what each major city considers to be the quintessential "Diner"

So far, I've had four things on the menu: The Blackened Salmon
Sandwich was so greasy it was almost inedible, but the toppings were good! It’s sad to see that ruin a good sandwich like the mushroom Reuben.
