this is one of our favorite hotels in Scotland. had a fabulous night here. the earth is breathtaking! like a state house! big open fire when you come in. traditional decoration throughout. could not appeal to those who want something more modern, but we loved it. we had a magnificent view from our bedroom right down the beautiful gardens. dinner and breakfast great! wonderful friendly staff. fantastic bar with great super selection of fine Scottish whisky
This is truly a one-of-a-kind establishment! This hotel provides an exceptional experience of Scotland, set within a stunning mansion featuring beautiful interior decor. Above all, it gives you the feeling of being a guest in a very special place. The hotel boasts a charming bar and restaurant, making it an ideal spot to relax in the evening without venturing into the small town. The rooms are remarkable, and the breakfast in the morning is delightful.
absolutely wonderful experience! the staff was super attentive, dinner was amazing and romantic! our room was really nice with a view of the way that leads in jägerei with beautiful terrain. the elegance and history were fascinating and surreal! overall it was all I had imagined it could be and more. really a jewel! we thank the entire staff for the moments each of them has contributed to our stay, they have made the experience truly unforgettable!
Thanks so much to staff at this hotel for their first class effort to open the hotel after 5 months closed due to covid and provide free shelter and even a beer to those stranded in Huntly due to drifting snow and impossible driving conditions.Friendly, helpful and going out of their way to help a group of stranded strangers . We recently took a trip around Scotland, and our stay at the hotel was definitely my favorite part. The staff was fantastic—extremely helpful and friendly. They provided us with great tips for our visit. We also had the pleasure of dining here one evening, and the food was delicious. I would love to stay here again!
Had a lovely stay, We stayed 6 nights great food every day, very friendly staff felt very welcome. We stayed in the period when Covid restrictions meant we could only have alcohol in our room but this was no problem and the staff even labelled the Whisky's for us.
Food was good but very slow service and staff not very friendly. Wanted pudding but they took so long we just left after main meal. They was not very busy at the time.
